Northwestern Alzheimer's Disease Center (NADC)

The Northwestern Alzheimer's Disease Center (NADC) maintains a registry of research participants for whom we have clinical data and tissue samples. The research participants include individuals over age 50 with no cognitive impairment, individuals with mild cognitive impairment and no dementia, and individuals with dementia (Alzheimer's disease and non-AD forms including frontotemporal dementia, primary progressive aphasia, and dementia with Lewy bodies. The clinical data consist of demographic information, including health and family history, and neuropsychological test scores. Subjects are tested annually and some have been followed for up to 8 years. The tissue samples include blood and extracted DNA, and some participants who have expired have donated their brains for scientific study. The following table lists the currently available clinical data and tissue samples for all registry participants, and the characteristics of currently active subjects in our Clinical Core registry.
